Terms of Service

1. General

These terms govern the use of services provided by Atelier Kazerne ("we", "us", "the studio"), located at 22 Nieuwstraat, 2611 EK Delft, Netherlands. By booking a workshop, course or open studio session, you agree to these terms.

2. Services

We offer pottery workshops, multi-week courses, open studio access and private group sessions. Service descriptions and prices on our website are indicative and may be updated. Confirmed bookings are subject to the price agreed at the time of booking.

3. Bookings and Payment

• Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment or written confirmation from the studio
• Course blocks and memberships must be paid in advance
• Workshop places are reserved once payment is received
• We accept bank transfer and major payment methods as indicated during booking

4. Cancellation and Refunds

• Workshops: cancel at least 48 hours before the session for a full refund; later cancellations receive a 50% credit toward a future booking
• Courses: cancel before the block start date for a full refund minus a €15 administration fee; no refund after the first session
• Open studio: cancel at least 48 hours ahead for a full refund
• We reserve the right to cancel sessions due to insufficient enrolment or unforeseen circumstances; in such cases a full refund or rescheduled date will be offered

5. Studio Rules and Safety

• Follow all instructions from studio staff regarding tools, kiln and wheel safety
• Wear appropriate clothing; aprons are provided but clay may stain
• Do not operate kiln or wheel equipment without authorisation
• Children under 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult in workshops marked as family-friendly
• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who behaves in a way that endangers others or disrupts the studio

6. Firing and Collection of Work

Kiln firing is included as stated in each service description. We take reasonable care of your work but cannot guarantee outcomes — ceramics involves inherent risk of cracking or glaze defects. Uncollected work may be disposed of after 60 days following notification by email.

7. Liability

Participation in pottery activities is at your own risk. We maintain public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to direct damages arising from proven negligence, up to the amount paid for the relevant service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

8. Intellectual Property

Course materials, glaze recipes and studio teaching methods remain the intellectual property of Atelier Kazerne. Students may photograph their own work for personal use.

9. Privacy

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the AVG (GDPR).

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in The Hague (Den Haag), Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection law requires otherwise.
